Most of our global operations have achieved ISO 14001 certification, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable business practices.
Our North American and Asia Pacific sites are on a programme of certification to OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management, following completion of continental Europe's certification programme in September 2010.
Sims has a zero harm workplace objective across its global 230 recycling centers.

Some materials such as metal, plastics and glass are transferred between countries and continents. Sims Recycling Solutions operates to all relevant legislation such as the Transfrontier Shipment Regulations.
Specialist departments within Sims Recycling Solutions and parent company Sims Metal Management Limited constantly liaise with government environment and health and safety offices and monitor activities at each site to ensure that our high standards are continually met and enhanced.
