The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) is an international trade federation representing the world’s recycling industry, covering in particular ferrous and non-ferrous metals, paper and textiles.  Around 800 companies and national federations from over 70 countries are affiliated to BIR.

The Electronics Resellers Association International (ERAI) is a privately held global information services organization that monitors, investigates and reports issues that are affecting the global supply chain of electronics. ERAI is comprised of Original Component Manufacturers (OCMs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Distributors (franchised and independent), Contract Manufacturers (CMs), government agencies and associations serving the industry.

The International Precious Metals Institute (IPMI) is an international association of producers, refiners, fabricators, scientists, users, financial institutions, merchants, private and public sector groups, and the general precious metals community formed to provide a forum for the exchange of information and technology.

The Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) is an international network of professionals who build skills, share practical experience and develop solutions in electronic assembly technologies, including micro systems, emerging technologies, and related business operations.

The International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS) leads the Microelectronics Packaging, Interconnect and Assembly Community, providing means of communicating, educating and interacting at all levels. IMAPS is dedicated to the advancement and growth of microelectronics and electronics packaging. The Society has 8,000 members in the United States, Europe and Asia.

The International Association of Information Technology Asset Managers, (IAITAM) is the professional association for individuals and organizations involved in any aspect of IT Asset Management (“ITAM”), Software Asset Management (“SAM”), Hardware Asset Management, and the lifecycle processes for IT Asset Management in organizations of every size and industry across the globe. Serving IT Asset Management professionals in more than eighteen countries around the world, IAITAM’s mission is to provide centralized real-world based skills development for the IT professional and to promulgate an understanding of IT Asset Management best practices and their value to an organization.

The European Electronics Recyclers Association, (EERA) is a non-profit organisation that promotes the interest of recycling companies who are treating waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Europe.
 
EERA aims for the harmonization of national and international regulations for WEEE recycling in order to obtain a free market for demand and supply of services.
 
EERA calls for environmentally sound operating practices for WEEE recycling activities and members are signatories to the rules of conduct to safeguard protection of human health and the environment.
