"Without strong environmental, health and safety standards, recycling electronic waste can become a risk to not only the environment but also to the employees working under those conditions," stated Steve Skurnac, President, Sims Recycling Solutions, Americas. "We are proud to stand behind CAER and support their efforts to prevent toxic e-waste from entering landfills overseas."
CAER now includes 35 U.S. companies involved in all aspects of the domestic electronics recycling and disposition industry with operations in 36 states as well as the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Along with these recycling companies, leading electronics manufacturers and retailers have joined CAER as alliance members.
